Making an Impact: Lannan Chevrolet of Lowell Breast Cancer Walk Participation

October 12th, 2015 by

Lannan Chevrolet of Lowell participated in the Making Strides Against Cancer Breast Cancer Walk on October 4, 2015, and we are proud that our contribution helped to raise awareness and funds for a disease that impacts the lives of many men and women all over the world.

Our team of seven, dubbed the Lannan Rat Pack, joined 40,000 other walkers at DCR Hatch Shell in Boston to celebrate the survivorship of those who have faced breast cancer in hopes of raising enough funds to one day find a cure. The amount of energy and support that radiated through this crowd was indescribable, and it was something that our team would enjoy participating in again in the future.

The Lannan Rat Pack decided on a goal of $1,000, and we are humbled by the support we received. We were lucky enough to exceed our goal, and we raised $1,620 to help provide research, information, and services relating to breast cancer. We would like to extend a very big THANK YOU to everyone who donated, walked, or supported us in our journey, as we couldn’t have done it without you.

At Lannan Chevrolet of Lowell, we know that the American Cancer Society does everything it can to help find a cure for breast cancer, and it constantly needs our support. By walking with a group of other supporters and raising money, we helped contribute to the American Cancer Society’s goal of raising $2.5 million. To date, more than $1.1 million has already been raised in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk all over the country.

Although the Breast Cancer Walk may be over, there are still ways to contribute to the cause. You can make a donation to the American Cancer Society, or you can still make an online donation on our Breast Cancer Walk web page. Every dollar will help to serve those who are battling breast cancer in hopes of one day finding a cure and ridding this world of the disease.
